Car's Life 3: The Royal Heist



Another Chapter Of The Copycat Cartoon Franchise: Amusing Enough When It Turns Into A Courtroom Caper
When the movie "Cars" became a PIXAR hit in 2006, it was followed by the inevitable low budget DVD ripoff "Car's Life" that same year. With the stunning lack of originality already coming out of the film world, I have very little respect for this new brand of copycat cheapies. In many cases, there appears to be a deliberate attempt to trick consumers into accidentally buying the wrong product. It seems inconceivable, therefore, that we are now up to "Car's Life 3: The Royal Heist." In the latest production by Engine 15 Media Group (they seem to specialize in this type of fare), you get exactly what you might expect from such a film. Within minutes, I was tempted to shut off the movie due to its amateurish vocal performances and annoying background music. It simply never stops! But I stuck with it and I was actually pleasantly surprised. Once the story went full tilt, it demonstrated a lively playfulness that was actually entertaining.
